The words are edited from an author unknown yet in reading them I believe for those that choose to overcome the obstacles to God's amazing grace, these are words worth sharing that others might find encouragement and solace in the comfort they can bring.

Just for today I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle my whole life problem at once. I can do something for 12 hours that would appall me if I felt that I had to keep it up for a lifetime.

Just for today I will be happy. This assumes to be true what Abraham Lincoln said, "Most folks are happy as they make up their minds to be."

Just for today I will try to strengthen my mind. I will study. I will learn soemthing useful. I will not try to be a mental loafer. I will read something that requireseffort, thought and concentration.

Just for today I will adjust to what is, and not try to adjust everything to my own desires. I will take my "Luck" as it comes, and fit myself to it.

Just for today I will exercise my sould in three ways: I will do somebody a good turn, and not get found out. i will do at least two things i do not want to do - just for exercise. I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt; they may be hurt, but today I won't show it.

Just for today I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress becomingly, talk low, act courtesously, criticize not one bit, not find fault with anything and not try to improve or regulate anybody except myself.

Just for today I will have a quiet half hour alone with God. During this half hour I will thank Him for all his blessings He has given me. Ask him to forgive me of my sins and just relax in His presence.

Just for today when I leave my quiet time with God I will be unafraid to be myself. I will enjoy the splendor of God's created earth and imagine what it must of been like when Adam saw it first. I will give to others what God has give me, his grace. Dear God just for today may I be a channel of your grace to the world. AMEN.
