Easter is the reason for the Christian Church. Without the resurrection, there would be no cause for our being here today. On the other hand, we are here today! AMEN. We are here because Jesus lives! Our taking the Cross, is our inspiration and our only explanation. Christ’s Resurrection is our compulsion for living. Because He lives I can face tomorrow because He lives all fear is gone. Today means that what was set in motion 2,000 years ago is living today: a mighty force, that overcomes death, overcomes sin, and overcomes the trembling gates of hell. Jesus Christ has risen, Jesus Christ has risen indeed! I could joke that since Mary Mag’da-lene was the first to discover the Lord’s resurrection; that God knew full well that revealing the mystery of our faith to woman (or women) was sure to have the details be made known around the world in short order. Indeed, she told Peter and John and they in turn came to see for themselves. We are blessed because we believe and yet we did not see. If we had seen would our lives be any different.
