IMerry Christmas to all. On a starry night in Bethlehem many years ago, a babe was born in a stable that all the world might know. The young mother laid him in a manger wrapped in swadling clothes and shepherds watched their flocks by night so the story goes. Wise men from a far set out to find the foretold baby king and among them gold, fankincense, and myrh were gifts that they would bring. That was the first Christmas when God gave us his son, we celebrate today by giving gifts to everyone. But I think God meant for us to do something more much than that. So let me share with you where the celebration Christmas really should be at: In your house with your family.

You see Christmas really is a birthday which means recoginizing the person to whom is having the birthday. We come to the birthday because we were invited. We come bringing gifts not expecting them (Granted today many families make sure every child goes home with some kind of gift bag). Christmans morning is a celebration of Christ's birthday, Like the wise men we should set out to see this child, to offer our praise and our gifts. What gift to give God who has everything? Interesting, does he have you? If so give him your time, talents, and our offernings. Consider everything we have is actually a gift from God ,1 Timothy 6:17. God wants others to share in the celebration of his birthday. Let others know because God gave his son to everyone and to us to be equally shared.

God bless and Merry Christmas to all and Happy Birthday Jesus.
